How many fingers do you have on each hand?

One of my kids asked me why there are 60 seconds in a minute and not 10 or 100. I showed her how to count to 60 using her hands. My wife was watching and I thought her head was going to explode.

Speakers of Telefol use parts of their arm, their ears, eyes and nose and thus have a base-27 counting system – which no doubt seems perfectly natural to them.
