First post here as I couldn’t find anything else on the forum or internet.

My local council is looking at creating a floodlit traffic free cycle circuit, and have mentioned racing in the details although the plans show curb stones at the side like a road.

I was under the impression to hold BC crits you couldn’t have a curb at the side of the track?

I realise the majority of usage of the track will be recreational but to turn off the racing aspect straight away seems a little short sighted.

Not sure about the BC rules,

Not sure about the BC rules, but Crits in town centres all have curbs, though they may be barriered off with pedestrian barriers I guess.

I would suggest that before they actually invest money into the project they check with BC to ensure it will be suitable for purpose?
