I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

I’m sure those are all entirely unrelated lapses and the previous ones should not be seen as aggravating.

Alternatively, it’s simply proof that he has a disease and can’t help it and he deserves sympathy, not punishment. Plus if he were threatened with a serious period of disqualification (how about life?) it might drive him to drink, and to hold the ban in contempt!

(Not that it stops him anyway as the record shows).
