Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

    Well if you’re not

Well if you’re not restricting it to houses then we’re gonna have a field day!

Two self-driving cars left the road last weekend, according to the local rag:

“a car rolled onto its side in the early hours of the morning, but the driver was nowhere to be found.”

“A woman was taken to hospital after the car she was in rolled into a ditch late at night near Market Drayton.”

“Photographs from the scene show a huge hole in the front of the building, surrounded by rumble.”

Apparently you could hear the crash for hours.

Sorry the layout of this thread has itself become a car crash. I have written to our new Editor, Mr Sexty to ask if they can disentangle the wreckage. I hope it’s not a write-off.

Was there any response from Mr Sexty?

Clearly a typo – should read

Clearly a typo – should read small trolls and an electric saw.
properly trained, they’re very good at effecting rescues in confined spaces: the fire brigade employ about a dozen of them. No reports of anyone being eaten for supper since 2016.

Nah, a decent lawyer will be able to argue that he was framed.

    I’m surprised they spoke to

I’m surprised they spoke to the driver, rather than just issuing a letter.

I wish they would take a similar interest in all the cars happily displaying deliberately obscured number plates. I see a few every day, and my journey is seldom more than 5 miles. Some are so emboldened by the lack of police interest that they have ditched the front plate together, for a sleek stealth profile.

    did he close the deal?

    did he close the deal?

A CAR dealer was stopped for speeding while demonstrating a BMW to a customer.

He was also penalised for failing to display trade plates property after being stopped travelling at 62mph in a 50mph limit on the Dorset Way in Poole.

A spokesman for the Dorset Police No Excuse team said: “The trade plate has been slung on the dashboard and only half of it can be seen anyway.

“Didn’t help that the driver decided to draw the attention of one of our officers by doing 62mph in a 50mph zone on the Dorset Way and with a customer on board too. Fixed penalty given for the two offences.”
