Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Yep, first of all, totting up

Yep, first of all, totting up process has caused the ban so serial shit driver. Second, the whole Shirley High Street is no parking with double yellows and time gated areas,  so he did well to decide to park on the only section where the Police would get involved and points are issued, (which probably leads back to point 1).

    Ah yes, Schrodinger’s

Ah yes, Schrodinger’s motorist, simultaneously hard-pressed yet telling cyclists they’re too poor to get a car, but then running into Schrodinger’s cyclist, who is also a middle aged elite…

    Drunk driver crashes her Audi

Drunk driver crashes her Audi A3 into a telegraph pole on the afternoon of 7 August after getting pissed at a barbeque.

37 year old Leeanne Kelly Paton’s Audi hit the pole beside the B4392 near New Mills, Powys. 23 month ban. I hope she learns her lesson (plus a sky-high insurance premium).

I always wondered about that advert.  Isn’t she basically admitting complete liability on the phone to her insurance company?  So, wouldn’t her insurance company just say “Off you f-, then…“.  And wouldn’t the insurers for the pet shop also be after her??

I think you are not supposed to admit liability in an accident with another vehicle as the insurance company may want to argue fault with the other insurerer. Not going to be the case when driving into a building.  “It came out of nowhere” while apparently perfectly believeable when applied to fully lit stationary cyclists isn’t going to wash for a building.

    Probably not. Still the

Probably not. Still the making of advert still shows that she would have killed multiple animals in the “only an accident driving well too fast for the condtions” as all the lizards would have perished in the cold. I love how they “iced” up the roads so she couldn’t claim she didn’t know it was that icy.

scroll to the bottom for the

scroll to the bottom for the ‘making of’. I wonder if they’ve had green ink letters about the animals (real, not CGI’d) and maybe COVID – all addressed in the same whimsical (aka sickly) spirit as the finished product.

    ‘accidents happen’

The latest Direct Line Aviva advert is of a young lady who obviously approached a corner too fast for the icy conditions, crashed straight into a pet shop and probably has killed multiple animals plus put added financial burden on the shop owner. But don’t worry, we will show a few rabbits bounding around alive, and her smiling because Direct Line sent a truck to take the car away. Accidents Happen.

I thought that was an Animal Liberation Front commercial

Two totally different events from the stories / pics available.

And it is just me but does the driver who got out look like they might have driven down the “closed off” lanes. Then is trying to work out how to get around the emergency vehicles so they are not held up.

I think you’re right as one was northbound and the other was southbound. Strange that both incidents involved a lorry and a car towing a caravan.

Not when you see how lorry drivers and caravan-towers behave on the M5!
