Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

The offence in law may be a

The offence in law may be a single one of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, but that doesn’t mean that they couldn’t have been charged separately with being unfit through drink and being unfit through drugs. Just like if you stole three bikes you’d be charged with three counts of theft.

Oh, wait… in that case you’d be charged with no counts… hang on… what was the point I was making again…?

    It’s ‘unfit to drive through

It’s ‘unfit to drive through drink or drugs’

The fourth offence would have been ‘fail to report an RTC’, which is often coupled with ‘fail to stop’.

Cars being a pain in the arse, involved in nuisance crimes, taking up police time

A spokesperson said: “Uninsured Audi with no MOT, car tax or current keeper, with rear passenger door broken and held partially shut with bungee cord seized in Bransgore. “After being found blocking dropped kerb preventing access to driveway needed by disabled visitor. “Spare catapult slingshots and bags of ball bearings found on passenger seat with evidence of recent off-road use and hare coursing.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has confirmed that between April 1 and December 31, 2021, its team at HQ Salisbury Plain Training Area seized 29 vehicles and issued 206 fines for driving offences.

Police later confirmed that around 150 vehicles attended.

Locals say they had to put up with the sound of revving engines and honking horns, plus a “haze of smoke” drifting over the neighbourhood.

Finally, one of three fly tipping pictures from today’s walk – this is a byway, and the amount of general crap lying around is always greater where so-called off-roaders are allowed.

If you want to kill someone,

If you want to kill someone, use a car for it, you’re virtually guaranteed a slap on the wrists and home for tea. I guess the same applies to statues and war memorials.

    Can’t understand all these

Can’t understand all these people arriving at the front of the War on the Motorist not equipped with tanks? Or at least self-recovering vehicles. Are we failing to learn from history?

I trust that all of those drivers were referred to the crown court, facing a minimum ten years in jail, and that the attorney general and the transport secretary (?) got involved…?

    I was assuming ‘unift through

I was assuming ‘unift through drink’ and ‘[unfit through] drugs’ were separate offences.
