Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

Yeah – fair enough – for some reason I had in my head that the original quote said ‘charged with’.

[quote=Mr Hoare, 53 and from Parley]

“I travel down the road everyday for work and have also used it as a cyclist. I think it’s too wide as you could fit two or three cyclists alongside each other.

Doesn’t that mean it’s a better width than most cycle lanes?  Two or three alongside each other simply means that they can comfortably overtake.

Sort of… I took ‘taken into custody’ meant ‘arrested for’. You can be arrested for being unfit to drive through … and one evidence is obtained, be charged with both aspects of the offence (drink and drugs).

“But officers, you’ve got the car, it’s got a registered keeper, why are you saying you’re making enquiries to find the owner? Drivers are always telling us cyclists that we should be registered like them so this doesn’t happen.  Understandably, the people in the car walked off, I imagine they were two brothers rushing to see their sick mother in hospital, as all drivers are.

    Have we been mis-informed?”

    Tractors cause traffic on

Tractors cause traffic on Winchester Road in Romsey (bridge strike)

“The drivers had been on their way to West Sussex from Bere Regis – a 90 mile trip.”

That seems an awfully long way for farm vehicles to go?

Not our first visit to these bridges in Romsey.
