Hi all,

I’ve been riding for 3 or so months now so this is all still very new to me. I’m looking to upgrade my bike to the Canyon endurance CF SL Disc 8.0, reviews and components seem very good. I’m a little stuck with sizing. I currently ride a Specialized diverge 56cm frame which feels too small. When looking at other bike brands I’ve sized up as a 58cm/Large frame. I’m 183cm, inseam is 89cm. I haven’t been able to have a proper bike fitting as of yet due to the current situation so I used canyons bike fitting calculator on the website. I was told to go with a size medium (178-184cm) however this is just on the margin of a size large too (184-190cm) Just wanted to know if anyone could shed any knowledge on the matter or had been in a similar situation. Should I go with a medium or could I get away with a large? Would the large be the better option? Hopefully this all makes sense ? Cheers!

I would say it really depends

I would say it really depends on what kind of position on the bike you want.

I’ve got a Endurace AL 7.0 disc, I’m 183cm with an inseam of 86cm. Canyon sized me up as a medium which I’m sure would’ve been fine but as it’s a winter bike & I wanted a more upright position I went for the large which fits me nicely.

If you want a more aggressive position I would say get the medium but I don’t think you’ll have any issues with either.

I have an Endurace in medium

I have an Endurace in medium and are roughly 1.78m tall.Changed the stem from 100 to 110 because of torso/leg proportions and it feels spot on.Some more seatpost showing would have been good so at your height i think you’ll be fine with medium. Great piece of kit !

Surprising how often Canyon’s
Surprising how often Canyon’s sizing guide comes up here, but trust me, it’s reliable.
For the last fifty years I’ve been “Medium” for everything but when ordering my Endurace it suggested “Small”. With considerable misgivings I obeyed orders (after all, these are Germans we are dealing with here) and lo and behold, it fitted perfectly. Hope the bike gives you as much joy as mine.
