Cane Creek Headset

I got a Cane Creek headset for my new frame but struggled to seat the crown race. So I measured the fork OD at 30.035mm, spot on the upper limit of an H7 fit. However the ID of the crown race was 29.85mm, 0.15mm smaller than the lower limit for a p6 fit. A 0.15mm deviation from an interference fit tolerance is a country mile away. Anyone else had any problems with Cane Creek headsets?
