    The St Jude storm, predicted to hit the UK on Monday 28th October 2013, will bring with it very high winds, perfect for slow bike riders who want to feed their egos by pretending they’re quicker than they really are by getting some KOM’s on Strava.

    There was alot of junk flying
    There was alot of junk flying around/fallen foliage in south London this morning which would have made a road bike & slicks pretty hazardous. I had to take my mountain bike in and got in around the same time as on a road bike. The journey back however is a different story….

    Don’t think I got any on the way into work this morning. Too busy dodging trees, bins and small oceans that appeared on the Uxbridge Road. And the way home is a headwind. 🙁

    Monday is the feast day of St
    Monday is the feast day of St Jude. Most days are named after some sort of a saint – a couple of days ago was St Crispin, which you might remember as a bit of Christian malarkey from Henry V

    He that shall live this day, and see old age,
    Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
    And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian:’
    Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
    And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispin’s day.’

    You might think about getting up to date with it – it’s a cultural thing

    Monday is known as St Jude’s
    Monday is known as St Jude’s day within the Christian calendar. St Jude also happens to be patron saint for the lost. A bit apt if some folk get blown off course come Monday. Stay safe all you folk down south.

    Any one know why it has been called ‘St. Jude’? Sorry I am not up to date with all that Christian malarkey.
