Replace front brake?

I just ordered a Cannondale CAAD8 Tiagra and have read mixed reviews about the brakes. I have a Shimano Tiagra front brake I bought for another bike but didn't end up using, would it be worth swapping the stock Cannondale front for it? Not worried about it not matching, just in performance.
