Massive day ahead and I've got the rest of the week off work so I'll be glued to the TV tomorrow afternoon 😀

Having major problems picking my team.  Got a few riders I want to pick but can only afford a selection of them.

Contador and Kreuziger are on the up, could they threaten Froome and try to put a chunk of time into him tomorrow?  If so, which is the preferred rider?  Contador should be the team leader but he's still not earning any World Tour points after his ban so are the team better off supporting Kreuziger?

Mollema and Ten Dam just seem to be trying to hold on.  Can they do anything else now?

Quintana seems to have the white jersey wrapped up, does he think he can win yellow or will he settle for a stage win?  Can Kwiatkowski do anything during the last week to catch the Columbian revelation?

Rolland has come out and written off his chances of winning the polka dot jersey.  Is he bluffing?  If not, which of the last stages will he target for a stage win?

I have no answers and no idea who'll be in my team tomorrow 😕

Gap has come down 2 minutes
Gap has come down 2 minutes in 3km. This could still come back together for a Quintana win.

Gap at 5 minutes, Anton and
Gap at 5 minutes, Anton and Serpa attacking, Schleck, Ten Dam and Mollema getting dropped from the yellow group.

Movistar reeled in Contador easily and he struggled to get back in the group.

No idea what’s going to happen. Riblon for the win?

    Was not expecting this from
Was not expecting this from Moser – he’d been pretty quiet up to today.

Sadly cannot watch today’s stage, but not encouraged by Rolland’s apparent dodginess on the descent. Still can’t call a winner today (probably Nieve, seeing as I’d dropped him).

And Billy Bonnet’s out of it now, meaning a lot of people changing their plans a tiny bit for Sunday!

    I had jeanesson for ventoux
I had jeanesson for ventoux stage but he did nowt and got the boot- and scored well for 2 days running!!
thought about him again fro today, but plumped for Nieve and schleck instead arrrggggghhh :”( :”( :”(

and went for rolland- i’m really mucking up week 3.

Is there any doubt that this break will get swallowed up? strong riders, but I think the saxo pressure will ensure the gap isnt big enough at base of Alpe 2.

Interesting to see a few people picking Schleck. A win on a big stage like today, tomorrow or Saturday would be redemption of sorts for him. Still seems a long shot to me, even if he did do an unexpectedly good TT yesterday.

My big thumbsucking point was to drop Nieve for Ten Dam; I’m hoping he’ll be able to diesel over the next three days’ climbs in or around the lead bunch, scoring some consistent stage finish points. Not sure Nieve will still see KOM in his grasp after today.

Not really picking Schleck for a win but a top 5 is possible one or two days, realistically top 20 all three days and anything extra is a bonus.

I planned to make three changes but in the end I made five.

Dropped: Kwiatkowski, Mollema, De Gendt (unsure about that one), Castroviejo and Fischer

Brought in: Contador, Nieve, Bardet, Schleck and Quintana

Secret weapon is Contador. From memory he’s never won up the Alpe d’Huez during the Tour (was pipped in 2011 by Rolland) so I reckon he’ll try and drop Froome up the Col de Sarenne and on the descent then go for the stage win. He’s not one to settle for second place and if he wants to win he needs to be aggressive. Fantasy wise I don’t think many people will have chosen Contador over Rolland just because he’s so expensive so I’m hoping to make places today and get back into the top 100.

Wasn’t planning on dropping De Gendt but fancied Schleck and Bardet for a break over the next couple of days and didn’t want to make any more transfers than I needed to before the last day so got them in now. I may (or may not) bring in Rolland for one stage if he looks like he fancies a stage win but I don’t think that’ll be today.

    Anyway, my team:

    Froome
    Contador
    Quintana
    Bardet
    Nieve
    Schleck
    Mederel
    El Fares
    Bonnet

What is it with you and me I bought in Contador, Nieve Schleck and Navarro, to join Quintana and Froome. couldn’t choose between Bardet De Clerq and Navarro, but went for him because of improved tt result.
