Top ten GC Tour de France

As if we don’t have enough games to play, what with purist and standard, 3 Frenchmen, roaduk, cycling news plus others that are out there, here’s another one.

Who do you think will be the top 10 on GC at the end of the tour de France?

10 points if the place is correct.
5 points if you’re one place off.

From the point of view of the teams it’s the most important part of the race so I think we should have a game for it. I’ll do the scoring at the end. No prizes.

I’ll put down my team later this evening. Deadline 2 pm Sun 30th June 2013 to give people time to choose and as the first stage is not likely to be a significant factor in this.

No-one got Kreuziger, otherwise all other riders in top 10 were picked by someone.

Well done stumps. 45 is a very good result in what is a very difficult game.

Yep. Unless someone falls off their bike which is highly unlikely. Has anyone ever failed to finish the last day when they were in the top ten?

Will reveal full results as soon as they cross the line. It’s a dead easy game to score. Will do it again for the Vuelta, maybe add a few points for two places off or each rider in the top 10. But 45 is impressive.

Nobody, incidentally, had Kreuziger in their top 10 so I suppose he is the surprise of the Tour.

Are you going to use your last 3 transfers for roaduk? I think you’re the only one that could catch me now, so at least I should win one forum comp. Roaddcc team 4th in that comp out of 200!! Might podium in the purist as well (forum).

Very close to a decent prize in the mini-league Cycling News game I’m in, but for sure have a runner-ups one of some books, water bottle and the ubiquitous socks, (always useful and I use my roadcc ones I won for the 3 Italians). Have used a couple of transfers for the last day they don’t have left but like rcorbin unlikely to win although the gap between myself and the person in first could be down to a few points by the end. Need a GC guy my rival doesn’t have to roll in about 15th and Cav to be outside the top 5 or Rojas in it. Not likely but not impossible so I’ll be watching the end with my fingers crossed. In the top hundred of that game overall (out of 18500!!), which is by far my best rank.

Overall here a bit of a disappointment, 57th but I’ll drop a bit today, but if I’d chosen Cav over Greipel I’d be in the top 25 up near you which would have been ok. But never mind, always the Vuelta, which will be the next game I play as I don’t have an overall position to defend anymore.

    Hi all

well, as the GC is not going to change now I’ve totalled up the points. The winner got 45 points unless something strange happens tomorrow (I got 20) but all will be revealed when it is absolutely finalised.

    Yeah, De Gendt is
Yeah, De Gendt is dissapointing (Westra is also 17 mins down) but I wonder if he’s going to be chasing stage wins now.

I suspect everyone at Vaconsoleil will be out of work so a few world tour points from stage wins would come in handy.

    A bit disappointing to see
A bit disappointing to see DeGendt,Velits and Meyer 17mins behind after 2 stages?

Although the Road CC Forum users are a discerning bunch as no-one selected any of them here.
