Time For A New Bike

    Working on the time honoured principle that the optimum number of bikes is x+1 etc. I think that it’s about time that I got bike number 2. Currently on a Trek 1.5 but was considering something around the £1,200 mark. Should I go entry level carbon of a better alu?
    Most advice will be gratefully received.

    All these are at the top end of your budget, I would subject going for the 2012 models, which are cheaper

    that’s what you should do and a pound left over others will have differing opinions they’re wrong!!!

    I suppose seriously buy something you like the look of in the right size and suited to what sort of riding you plan on doing.

    I’d look at second hand
    I’d look at second hand bikes. For that money, with a bit of poking about, you’ll easily get decent carbon with something of the level of Ultegra or Dura Ace, good wheels etc.
