    Hesjedal withdraws.

Too difficult/expensive to bring in Froome or Valverde, so I left them out. Wanted Betancur as well, might take a penalty in the morning for him though. If I don’t, that will be the 1-2-3 then.

    😀

I think Hesjedal has called it great, today is going to be hard and he doesn’t want to peak until half way through the Giro so pulling out is a great call.

Of the Giro riders I’ll be interested to see how Gesink and Kiserlovski do today.

I see what your saying about Betancur, but his situation is different to Hesjedal, Hesjedal is going to the giro to try and win, thats not the case with Betancur, who will play domestique to Pozzovivo, so I don’t see why he shouldn’t try and win today, or he may as well not have ridden as he doesn’t need the miles in the legs like Hesjedal did.

Glad I have both then 🙂

I still think Albasini may do something

Kelderman is my guy that worries me the most, but wanted him for tomorrow and didnt want to make penalty transfers as he could still top 20 😕

    Rujano

Was tempted to bring in Betancur, Kiserlovski, Pinot or Rolland but all were just too expensive to squeeze into my team and I wanted Froome/Porte/Talansky/Costa for tomorrow.

4 transfers left for tomorrow, not sure I’ll use them all but it depends on how everyone fares today.

    One penalty transfer for me,
One penalty transfer for me, but hopefully won’t need any tomorrow – although the weather does throw in some uncertainty…

    Froome (for Meersman)
Brajkovic (for Grivko – should’ve got rid of him earlier)
    Talansky
    Rui Costa
    Kelderman

    There’s talk of a Plan B
There’s talk of a Plan B finish today, if inclement weather situation continues. Would be an uphill rather than down. Betancur the safer bet.

Yes, I have a feeling it will
Yes, I have a feeling it will be Rui Costa rather than Valverde this weekend.

Took out Albasini for penalty points, with the consolation that he’s in my purist team if he goes in the break! Not sure about my logic there…

Purists 4th, but with few GC people (just Talansky and Rui Costa, plus Martin tomorrow), so could really do with Fumeaux getting in the break today…

    No Valverde for me, stuck
No Valverde for me, stuck with Froome, Porte and Talansky as my biggies with the tt to come and a mixture of others.

Hoping for a good day tommorrow.
