    Hesjedal withdraws.

Too difficult/expensive to bring in Froome or Valverde, so I left them out. Wanted Betancur as well, might take a penalty in the morning for him though. If I don’t, that will be the 1-2-3 then.

    😀

Haha, 87th place on today’s stage because of my 10 penalty points. Now I’ve 2 riders not in the ITT and their combined value is 6. More penalty points shall be incurred tomorrow, so I’ll be lucky if I hold onto this race.

    Average-ish, I think. Points
Average-ish, I think. Points mostly from Burghardt, Froome and Rui Costa.

Talansky left behind a little today; despite his TT skills will be dropping him for Martin tomorrow.

My big question is whether Pinot will perform in the TT, or should I take a hit on the penalty points and drop him for Kelderman, who is a mere second behind him in GC and has a better TT record?

Why I am keeping faith with Spilak heaven only knows… :O

I was going to take him out too, but it would have cost me penalty points and I reasoned that with Dani Moreno abandoning he was now team leader and needs to step up to the plate, especially as he is a former winner. we’ll see if our confidence is misguided, and I fear it is.

Well at last something good, well done Simon Spilak, should have had Kelderman too but bringing him in tomorrow, thats an impressive ride from the young dutchman. I bet Spilak wishes he had tried harder on day one now!
