Again I’m travelling so have picked my team early with the risk of some injuries or illness in the next 24hrs!!

Not quite my dream team but I stuck with 6 transfers and no penalties…

    -Degenkolb
    -Roelandts
    -Cancellara
    -Phinney
    -Chavanel
    -Boom
    -Van Summeren
    -Stannard
    -Offredo

I fancy EBH to do well but can’t fit him in!

Turgot, Vansummeren, Roelandts all not there, not even sure Flecha is there anymore. Chavanel looks like he its struggling too

Think they could all top 20. I was 0.2 credits from having Stannard instead of Offredo. Although I think Hayman will be the Sky rider, but wasn’t brave enough to pick over Vansummeren

If Stannard had hit that sign as hard as Offredo it would probably have already landed in the velodrome!!

    Won’t be any break points
Won’t be any break points today, the four currently out in front – Steegmans, Hayman, O’Grady and Kortesky formed just before halfway but only had a few seconds as the km counter ticked past… I was watching closely :B

Yeah the Offredo one looked bad, straight over the bars. Have him in my team, too 🙁

I went the same route as Gkam – 8 guys I think will do well, and one with a cool name! Was always going with 2 OPQ guys – they know how to ride here.

    Terpstra
    Stannard
    Kristoff
    Turgot
    Boom
    Phinney
Bob Jungels! (Won the U23 race last year and is in great form – probably doing nothing but at least if he finishes he could get 5 for being Cancellara’s teammate…)

    Jungels in the early break

    The full list:
Evaldas Siskevicius (Sojasun), Guillaume Boivin (Cannondale), Bjorn Thurau (Europcar), Bob Jungels (RadioShack Leopard), Frederik Veuchelen (Vacansoleil), Gatis Smukulis (Katusha) Gert Steegmans (Omega Pharma QuickStep), Jacob Rathe (Garmin-Sharp), Jens Debuschere (Lotto), Michael Morkov (Saxo Bank), Eloy Teruel (Movistar), Clement Kortesky (Bretagne Seche) and Benjamin Lemontagner (Bretagne Seche).

    Degenkolb – tipping himself
Degenkolb – tipping himself for a top 10
Flecha – surely going all out, again
    Cancellara – because it’s him
Phinney – 2nd favourite with the bookies
Thomas – making amends, if he stays in the saddle
Chavanel – team leader, good form
Vansummeren – hearing good things coming from Kortrijk
Stannard – talking up his chances of a podium
Devolder – points with a Spartacus win, but ok form too
