Triban 5 or the Mekk A1?

I'm looking to shell out about £500 for a new bike to replace my 80's Raleigh Arena. For that price I think I've narrowed it down to either the Triban 5 or the Mekk A1, currently £560 on Wiggle, £500 with a voucher!
