So I was going to give my lovely public the full story. Updates, Points during the race, KoM points…..etc

But thanks to the f***wits at the Tour Down Under (geo only coverage and no radio coverage this year for the first time) and my “friends” at Sky (We are currently upgrading Sky Go. Please check back in a few hours. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.), I cannot do either.

So I thought I’d fill you in on what I do know.

Jordan Kerby racing for Uni of South Australia has been your main breakaway guy all day.

At times he was joined by Jack Bobridge, Manuele Boaro and Graeme Brown.

Good old Jens Voigt has a go to get clear, but never came off.

Kerby WILL be your KoM jersey wearer at the end of the stage.

Other than that, The race might aswell have been in North Korea. NO decent twitter updates from anyone in Oz, no-one outside of Oz seems to be able to access anything and the whole thing is just a shambles.

First world tour race of the season……CRAP

I just made my first in-game
I just made my first in-game transfer in over a year. I feel so dirty… 🙁

Peer pressure made me drop Griepel and put in Gilbert, which is making my Standard Team look a lot like my Purist Team. 😕

Bah, I’m not getting into the ‘nod nod wink wink’ crap this year, cards on the table, dropped Goss and Cimolai for Gilbert and Gerrans. Expecting a hard mans spring but got Griepel, Demare and Kittel in there just in case it all stays together.

ok fair enough, EBH and Gerrans for Goss and Kittel

    Just dropped him too,
Just dropped him too, expecting a big selection on that last climb… really, there’s only two places in the entire race likely to be hugely influential for GC, so I can see fireworks and some teams really pushing it. And that’s made me realise there is a rider I should have put in my team but haven’t. Ho hum.

Raise your hand if you’re not
Raise your hand if you’re not drafting EBH into your team tonight. *raises hand*

I assume everyone thinks tonight is a small field sprint finish, anyone think Gripel/Goss can stay with them or are we looking at a Gilbert/Gerrans type selection?

    Chuffed with 163 for my
Chuffed with 163 for my purist team which puts me in 6th overall in the purist league which is exactly where I was at the end of last season.

99 points for purist so OK
99 points for purist so OK with that but a shocking 68 for standard and switching Guardini and Kittel for Kelderman and DeMare for stage 2…..wrong UniSA rider in both teams with Watson standard and Howson pure but with the way Kerby rode and with the comments of Pat Jonker it seems that there may well be a UniSA attack on every stage.

Can’t wait for a bit of Gorilla/Manx action this season 😀

    Transferred out EBH and
Transferred out EBH and Renshaw! :”( Had Kerby though 🙂 🙂 Shouldn’t have paid so much attention to the classic! Not a good indicator. Still, not too far down really, a lot to play for, as no-one did very well.

Snap, annoying that I transferred out points yesterday.

You looked at the csv? Do you put in rankings like Finish Line 1,2,3, or points gained :?

Gonna look at it now, fell asleep after my last post

    140 standard, 151 purist,
    140 standard, 151 purist, typical…

Anyway, my ‘challenge’ team scored a tidy 59 points, not bad with just 6 riders 😀
