    Hi All,
    anyone here ‘into’ watches?

It ‘was’ one of my hobbies and this led to me spending any spare cash I had on watches of all sorts of descriptions. As time has gone by my love for them dwindled (as the family grew and more demands came on me) Ah’ then, as now, I spend anything left on bikes and all that goes with them and have not done anything with the watches so sold just about all of them via eBay etc.

However, March last year I bought a ‘REAL’ watch and swore to myself this will be the last I buy. Well, I wore it continually for a week or so, then on my Daughter’s big day and since then it has been in it’s box, asleep. A bit too ‘expensive’ for my lifestyle I find.
    :\”>
Advice sought, where would one sell a quality timepeice? I wouldn’t put it on eBay for sure (I’d end up with all sorts of nutters) but are there alternatives? I don’t want to go to a shop either (only for watch verification) but certainly not to sell.

This is it, in all it’s glory.

Anyone point me in the right direction???

    Regards,

    Trikeman. 😉

Sorry that’s not much help to you.

I still wear my watch to cycle. I don’t have garmin/GPS and anyway I find it is a bit unfair when a light changes in front of me when I am going down hill at 40kph and have to pull up. Stop the clock and a little trim off the time to accelerate is still not as fast as an all green run.

Zenith Tourbillon,,,,, Mmmmm – HOW MUCH????.

They start at a cool £42,000 and go upto about £100,000. Sacre-Blurr Gkam they are some watch – Let’s hope Mr Angry doesn’t get wind of this…..

It would be my luck with a watch as expensive as that to get it trapped under a jack when changing pads or something.

I like watches and their designs, but I don’t even wear one anymore.

The problem I have, all the ones I like have large dials, like that one in the picture, but I have skinny wrists, so they never fit and overhang my wrists.

My dad bought me one to wear to his wedding 10 years ago, I love it, but with the, a couple of the parts in the clasp are not holding together properly. So I chose not to wear it anymore as I may lose it.

If we go into fancy watches. There was one, I think it was called Zenith tourbillon, then something about a black tie? I can’t remember, but its really nice, although I only like silver, for some reason, any jewellery I’ve had ever have been silver in colour, I don’t like gold. White gold maybe 👿
