Shimano Triple Shifters – An Issue

    I changed the cable on my front shifter today on the winter road bike (yes, Ive been using that more recently!)

    I have a triple of the winter bike and its the first time I have done the front shifter.

    Now, the barrel adjuster on the end of the cable that goes into the shifter I am having problems with. The barrel adjuster screw, appears to be spinning when I place it inside the shifter.

    Is this a problem with the shifter? Or, can I get a new barrel adjuster?

    I could take some photographs if need be to explain it more better.
