Watching the Olympic road race

Hi I would like to go and watch the olympic road race somewhere on the box hill circuit. Is it nieve to think that I can just drive to within 10 miles of the circuit, take my bike out of the car and ride to a nice queiet location and watch the 9 laps in peace ? Does anyone know the area and have any good ideas for viewing ? Cheers

I had that idea, then
I had that idea, then realised I’m coming back from holiday that day – gutted!

Anyway, everything I’ve read indicates the hill will be packed!! I wouldn’t be surprised if people camp over night too.

Should be a great atmosphere!
