So, I figured that no bicycle forum would be complete without pictures of bikes! Post your photos here, no bike will be refused: Road TT Triathlon Cyclocross MTB BMX Shixie Fixie And anything else! Lovely bikes lovely, but everyday bikes interesting too. I won't post first, but I'm taking pictures right now. đŸ™‚ I wanna see what bikes you're all riding!

    My ride:

    My ride:

Merida Ride 93CF – bought as my cycle to work bike last year as it was going cheap at my local LBS and I persuaded him to offer it to me on cyclescheme. So impressed with the frame, stiff and compliant with flax woven into the rear stays. Originally Tiagra throughout, stripped it down and rebuilt it using my old Ultegra 6700 groupset from my Bianchi, new red cables and an old FSA k force seatpost to go with my plasma integrated bars. Wheels are Vision T42, replaced with a red set handily after my old celeste coloured set developed strange bulges in the carbon fairing. Weight is 7.5kgs all in. Next step, Di2!

Very nice. And funny you should have that username, I was just poking Google where to get the FSA “F.Gimondi” crankset. đŸ˜€

Gorgeous bike. Have you tried that Sugru stuff? Like blu-tack, comes in different colours and ‘cures’ to form a flexible and apparently durable rubber whatsit of whatever shape you mold it to.

My 2011 Kona Jake. In Japan,

My 2011 Kona Jake. In Japan, hybrids are called cross bikes.
I knew nothing. I thought I was buying a hybrid (crossbike) with drop handlebars.
What I got, I gradually found out,  was a cyclocross bike.

It’s very hilly here. First the cassette was changed, then Tiagra chainwheels were replaced with Deore. My cycling distance travelled tripled during the following year (and my scooter distance — mainly for shopping — halved). Finally, I got decent braking when the front cantilever cable snapped on a hairy descent. Cantis don’t work well with STI.
The guy in the LBS was a fettling marvel.
Those were my first SPD pedals. After returning from three days of cycle camping, the saddle was replaced with a Selle Anatomica, and the water bottle is now stainless steel.

Before Jake, I had ridden but was completely ignorant about how to be a motor for a machine.

Unless they were stopped at the lights, with that gearing, you would
only be creeping up,  even at a cadence of 300 rpm.

I know nothing about Viner frames, but that is a very handsome bike!
