So who’s your main man/men for today?
I haven’t got a clue who i’m going to put in.
I could play safe and put a couple of guys who will score from the GC, but i already have Cav, GT and Nava. So i’m not sure.
I was going to start making my climbers come in, but there are still flat stages to come and the big climbs don’t really hit till stage 14. Most others the punchy sprinters should manage. Not the likes of Cav and Farrar though 😕

I’ve brought in Gasparotto
I’ve brought in Gasparotto and Visconti too – I think they could figure over the weekend as well as today. Not done a great job managing my transfers so don’t quite have the team I want, but will bring in 2 more punchy climbers and/or GC contenders tomorrow – lets see who looks strong today. Hoping against hope that Goss/Benatti/Kristoff can stay with the lead group today…Goss, Benatti, Gasparotto, Visconti
Meersman, Barta, Kristoff, Chicchi, GuardiniJust realised that leaves me with 23.1 credits! Could be time for the J-Rod tomorrow then…

GuardiniHave one transfer left and very itchy fingers, just don’t know who to replace with who.
Options are ditching Guardini or Lancaster for someone like Battaglin of Felline but I’m not confident that’ll pay off, otherwise picking up Gatto, J-Rod or Ballan for Cav or Thomas might work out. I just don’t know what to do!
On that basis I think I’ll leave it and have 3 tomorrow, it’ll reduce my score today but hopefully not by too much seeing as whoever I pick up would be a shot in the dark anyway.

Ive not gone for J-Rod today,
Ive not gone for J-Rod today, the finish is too flat and will be too many other riders at the finsih (maybe for tomorrow)Ive bought in Gasparotto, Hesjedal and Vicioso

Replaced Mark Cavendish with Joaquin Rodriguez
Replaced Daniele Bennati with Ryder Hesjedal
Replaced Juan Jose Haedo with Enrico Gasparotto
Replaced Arnaud Demare with Emanuele SellaSo my team
Enrico Gasparotto (AST) most likely to attack the Montegranaro wall
Joaquin Rodriguez (KAT) 2nd most likely to attack on the Montegranaro wall
Ryder Hesjedal (GRM) will/can follow the attack on the Montegranaro wall
Matthew Goss (GRE) if he gets over the the Montegranaro wall in leading group will win. Replace tomorrow with little prince or another climber who shows their stuff today.
Enrico Battaglin (COG) this is his terrain, hopefully
Ramunas Navardauskas (GRM) might get lucky and stay in white
Alexander Kristoff (KAT) stage 6 Paris Nice, will probably transfer out tomorrow, it is Kristoff or the honey badger
Alfredo Balloni (FAR) to defend his KOM jersey in breakaway
Emanuele Sella (AND) possible KOM material, brought in for stage 7 and beyondGkam84

I think of the sprinters only Bennati, Goss and Vicioso stand a chance of sticking to the main group. It be Felline’s day!The reason i went with Hushovd is simple. He sat up very early and didn’t bother to try and stay in the pack yesterday. Which normally signals he’s going to try something the next day.
I see a few going for J-Rod, i think its a bit early for him.

Meersman is a bit of a
Meersman is a bit of a mystery, he’s in good form but going really badly so far this week. Is it because he’s not 100% or is he building up a deficit to go for a big breakaway win?TERatcliffe26

Transfers done, with my two transfers for tomorrow planned as well. The only problem I know have its my team is not geared to bring in a big sprinter for any sprint stages 😕

It could be a very good day
It could be a very good day for riders like Visconti, Pozzato, Gasparotto, Lastras but also a bit risky because these riders are not the most appropiate for Saturday and Sunday stages and there are only 2 changes…Gkam84

If you thought Thursday was
If you thought Thursday was chaotic inside the last 20km, it will have nothing on today, short 18% climb up a narrow street will sort out a few more contenders. The only flat bit today is the finish, expect early breakaway, sprinters getting spat out the back and forming an autobus, the main peleton catching the breakaway with 25kms to go, all hell breaking lose as they hit that climb, with some GC riders like JRod trying to make a bit more time and anywhere from 1 to 20 sprinting for down the last 1.5km of boulevard for the line.
Looking at using at least 3 or my 4 transfers today, the next sprinters stage is the downhill stage 9, followed by a MSR like stage 11 (flat stage with climb 11km from finish). Stage 10 has a picturesque TA type finish, (ie steep narrow streets).
