Which watch for cycling?

    Any recommendations?

Used to have the Nike Lance 4 then managed to bend the titanium back cover trying to replace the battery! :”(

Then tried a Breo Roam – great idea but it loses time like you wouldn’t believe.

    Any good ones out there?

Just something simple will do as I have other watches for everyday use, etc.

I think something slim is ideal after the Breo. I do have a clock on my cycle computer but just like watches tbh.

I’ve got a Tissot Touch, had it for about 5 years. I try not to use it for riding as I don’t like metal straps when I work out.

It’s a nice geek toy but probably not really worth the cost.

As a riding watch I’d either go for a Timex expedition or Ironman or a Casio GShock

Hmm – what exactly is wrong with quartz watches?

    Cant beat a Timex Expedition,
Cant beat a Timex Expedition, cost less than £25 from Argos. Had mine for over 7 years now and still working perfect. It’s got an alarm and date as well. 😀

If you are talking cheap and
If you are talking cheap and sturdy it’s got to be one of the many variations of Seiko 5 (IMHO).

Proper mechanical watches, none of this quartz crap and available in lots of different styles from ~£50.

Actually looked at that while in Argos getting my son a new watch the other day but this kept springing to mind:

Got one of them on my hybrid – can’t do without it now. If it is a watch (as in on the wrist) go for a polar, good size time display and a HRM also, if wanted. So far waterproof (took a nosedive off the MTB) and does put up with some abuse.
