Stumps
Well after nearly 140 quotes on the prologue / stage 1 post lets see what people are doing for stage 2. It’s the only flat stage for the sprinters so who’s in and who’s out for tommorow. 😕

Ditto
101 points (= 197th on
Ditto101 points (= 197th on stage), made up 2.5 places on overall, including closing a gap of 47 points to be equal second.
Now just a Tom Boonen & John Degenkolb away from the top spot. (If only)

A weird day… only 79 points
A weird day… only 79 points but up one place in Regional league & up eight in Overall! How did I manage that…?!? 😕OK, so two changes for tomorrow.. hope they’re more successful 😉

Right i can decide, do i
Right i can decide, do i goTony Martin for Levi Leipheimer
Samuel Dumoulin for Tom Boonen
Luis Leon Sanchez for Tejay van GarderenOr
Replace Tony Martin with Thomas de Gendt
Replace Samuel Dumoulin with Rein Taaramae
Replace Luis Leon Sanchez with Levi LeipheimerOr Keep Martin and get shot of the other 2, i still think LL has something to offer, but i might be able to make some more with some risks, I’m going to keep my DS switch quiet though

Todays tip is find the money for Taaramae…He is that price for a reason…the guy is good….. ;)In fairness, I swapped TJvG for Boonen and did well out of it but my Hushovd for Martin transfer was less successful. Hopefully Hushovd will do better over the next few days.
I’ll be trying to squeeze Taarame into my team later in the week but not just yet 🙂

Another thing to bear in mind
Another thing to bear in mind with Taaramae is that when he’s in a race that has a young rider’s classification, you have a good chance of some extra points there… which could make him a more attractive buy than others at a similar price 😉

Taaramae is a bit pricey. If you have De Gendt, might aswell keep him for at least tomorrow, but as you say, Taaramae is far to expensive to take a punt on this season, He was good value last year, but as with all riders who even had a hint of doing well last year, their value is now prohibitive

I’m pretty disappointed with
I’m pretty disappointed with my day but mainly because choosing not to start with Wiggins has cost me a boatload of points and he was in my team until Saturday 🙁From here on I have no idea what happens as those who I thought might try for a breakaway win or go on a flyer on the hilly stages are too close in time to Wiggins for Sky to let them get away. Valverde in particular will have a rough time getting out in front of the pack.
My tips for hilly stage wins over the next week are now Taaramae and De Gendt, both over 11mins down.

Nae wonder, Today i scored 35 to add to my 58 from yesterday, i think my changes have to be massive now
I’m thinking
Tony Martin for Levi Leipheimer
Samuel Dumoulin for Tom Boonen
Luis Leon Sanchez for Tejay van Garderen
Richie Porte for Lieuwe WestraBut i think LL Sanchez and Martin might do something over the next couple of days

Argh! Frustrating day!

Argh! Frustrating day!I wanted Boonen in but it was too difficult to get him cos I already have 2 OPQ riders. Haussler might have done OK if he hadn’t crashed so leaving him in for tomorrow but playing it safe with one GC points change, and one strong all rounder who could do well for a few days.
On the positive I moved above Gkam on the regional overall table! 😉

Up to 28th overall. I was after the first stage so packed my team with TT riders but the rain damaged my score. Ended up scoring more points today than yesterday. Up to 65th in this comp so still in it. Going to build for the 5th stage now. I hope I can watch some of it as I think it will be good.

I had Valverde,Haussler and Navarro in that group but then 6 riders crashed including Haussler and Navarro. A good day turned into a bad one. :&TERatcliffe26

It was a funny day. Things worked out better than expected for me as I didn’t have many sprinters, except Boonen. Think I’ll hop above you for a while. Not like those heady days in the TDU though! -
