    Have a Barracuda RS200 Road Bike wan’t to change Rear Cassette 8 rings for different combination, for here in Cornwall we have steep inclines, at the moment have Double Chainset Shimano FCA050C 39tx 50t x170mm and rear Sunrace Cassette MFM 608CSOUS3 13-28T-8 UCP, what cassette would be more suitable for me, any info would be appreciated.

    My winter bike has Shimano2300 on it and I have a triple chainring on the front. It is a FSA Tempo 30/42/52.

    I would suggest popping down your LBS and seeing if they can fit a triple. Goodluck

    I think you’ll find that a 28
    I think you’ll find that a 28 is the largest the 2300 rear mech can handle.
    That’s an odd sized chainset, usually they are 52/39 or 50/34 . . .
    I suspect the only thing you’ll be able to do is find a compact (50/34) chainset on ebay, which will make life a little easier for you on the hills.
