On September 20th last year my Spec Ruby Comp got knicked.
Chained to itself but not my usual lamppost, picked ap and taken away. I was stupid I’ll visit him soon (The GodFather). Reported to police. All went quiet. turned up on Ebay..enough info on seller for me to track him down…. Police arrest.. Denies knowledge..police let him go. Bike taken down from Ebay, we are now in November. All goes quiet till today…Phone call 8.59am. “police here, may have your bike, come in and confirm…went in confirmed.. my bike right enough… trashed. Drops changed for mountain bike bars,but recovered drops too, all cabling removed, 105 STI’s gone, front mech bent. Quick releases look like they have scrpaed every wall in existence Superficial scratching all over the place. Fixable but only fit for work commute or turbo trainer. Original theif in court in 2 weeks, fence in court in May, person who butchered it not yet apprehended. Any one of them found guilty and a civil claime pending by me for damages ohh yes. 👿
