Product details here.
- bought June 2010
- has been well-used (several thousand km) but still in perfect working order
- battery life is still excellent – I use it weekly for 2-3 hour rides (last used last weekend), and did a 6-hour ride back in November. None of these ever caused any significant battery drainage
- blue/white/grey colour scheme – see example here
- no significant dents or scratches
- selling computer unit only, no sensors. The 500 will work without any add-on sensors (speed and distance are calculated from the GPS), so will arrive ready-to-use. It is also possible to get additional sensors for heart rate, cadence and power, if you wish
I am only selling this unit because I have upgraded to an 800. I use the 500 with add-on HRM and Speed/Cadence sensors, but I will be keeping my sensors to use with the new computer.
The 800 arrived with a set of quarter-turn mounts (enough to mount onto two bikes I think) and a mini-usb cable, I don’t need either so will bung them in with the computer. I even managed to find the original box – I will have a hunt for the paper manuals but even if I can’t find them, there are electronic copies on Garmin’s site.
I have consistently found Handtec to offer excellent prices on anything to do with GPS, and this is where I have just bought my 800 from. Handtec are currently selling the 500 for £142.
I’d hope that this excellent computer would be worth £75 to someone, including delivery within the UK. Or if you’d like to pick up from SP5 or SW1A, £70. You can pay me either cash on collection or through Paypal.
Any questions, fire away.
Pete
