Pitting a bicycle against a 170bhp superbike? Surely not! What happens if you pit a superbike against a pushbike down the Tour de France's most famous mountain? Sitting astride the Yamaha YZF-R1 superbike on the 1850-metre summit of Alpe d'Huez high in the French Alps with the bike's engine burbling at tickover in the crisp alpine air, the mountain lies before me.
