    I wouldn’t put much store in the women’s event – I can’t bring myself to call it a race.

    If enough teams help the Brits control the race then I reckon it will be a fast sprinter to win (as opposed to a power sprinter like Thor, Sagan, Gilbert).

    Having seen the finish straight in the women’s elite today, I’d say it suits Thor better. It’s about 5% uphill for 500m then 100m flat. It’s a totally weird finish, but I’d say Thor over Cav.
