BIG Shoe sizing help

Hi Guys,

Ok so I know I have big ish feet a 47 in my workboots. But I never thought it would be soo hard to get a pair of road shoes to fit. Having limited bike shops with limited stock here on the sunshine coast australia does not help as most shops dont want to get get big sizes in for me to try because they may be left with them on the shelf if i dont buy and i dont think crusty the clown is into cycling yet.

Ok so here is the question: I managed to try a 48 in shimano R087( slightly too tight lengthways) but a 49 is way too big ( for even my monsters) 🙁
could anyone suggest another brand and size that may have a slightly bigger fitting than shimano size 48.

any help would be greatly appreciated as I may have to order off the net to get my sizing………a recipe for disaster
