Road to Vatternrundan: Any takers/completers?

    My brother’s folks in law live in a town on the route of the above ride. For those of you who know, have you done the ride? For those who don’t it is a 300km (yes) day long ride around a lake in Sweden, with up to 18,000 participants per year. I’m tempted to have a go.

    Not this June, but 2010. Something to aim towards and all that.

    Read a septics blog about it, he said it was harder than an ironman triathlon. 12 hours in the saddle averaing 15kph. 3 hours of breaks. 200 miles though, like riding from mine to my brothers in Ivybridge in a day. Feels like it takes a day in the car when the M5 is busy!

    it’s certainly one i’ve considered, my brother’s wife is from sweden too although not anywhere near the route… be a good challenge to aim for in 2010!
