Alpine Route Question

    November and the mind turns to next years challenge. I’ve done most of the obvious, etapes, gran fondo, marmotte, last year four tour stages. What in 2011?
    I’d like to do a three or four day ride over the alps, Italy – France or vice versa. Outline idea is a group of 4 – 8 of us with our support van.
    Question, which route to take? Any suggestions?

    borg d’oisans down to the
    borg d’oisans down to the gorge du verdon via the lautaret, izoard and towards the haute verdon-annot-venosc(sp?) area would be a challenging and stunning 3 day ride. finish at the lac du st croix, it’s lovely. you could include italy if you go over the galibier, down the telegraphe and into modane, then (pass that i forget the name of with an awesome decent into italy) into suza, onto oulux and the montgenevere and pick up teh izoard from briancon. i’d add a day for that ; ) or maybe 5 in total..
