Zipp 302 wheelset – brake pads?

    Hi,

    I am owner of Zipp 302 wheelset and I am wondering if I use correct brake pads. Currently I got Dura Ace brake pads dedicated for carbon wheels. I took a look at Zipp website and these concrete brake pads are not on the Zipp’s recommended list. Generally, they brake well, but at the higher speeds there is quite big noise especially from the rear wheel and I feel like my wheel is a little bit vibrating. Do you think that this is caused by these brake pads? I am considering to buy one of the recommended by Zipp brake pads, but do not want to spend money and have the same effect.

    Please share your thoughts.

    Hi; I use Swiss stop Black

    Hi; I use Swiss stop Black Prince pads which I believe were designed in collaboration with Zipp on my 404s; they work really well and have lasted forever. Swiss Stop yellows i think are also approved and very good but do seem to colour your rims slightly yellow over time.
