Hi all,I need advice on wheelsets. I’m I’m the market to replace my current set of Axis Sport wheels. I’m considering 2 wheelsets from DT Swiss. They are the G1800 Spline (Gravel) or the E1800 Spline (Endurance). The main difference is the rim width. The E1800 can take up to 32 mm tyres. I do mostly road riding ,but plan on riding a few canal paths in the summer with Panaracer SK tyres in place of Conti 28mm 4 seasons. Strength v comfort seem to be the choice. Would the E1800 do the all round job of both types of riding or should I go for the gravel. Speed is not an issue for me,it’s a case of just need to get where I’m going. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply,i think the E1800 would be what i need, they will fit a up to a 32mm tyre and will be better for sportive riding.

    I think riding just canal

I think riding just canal towpaths you would be fine with the E1800

I have the 2018 Diverge E5 Comp and have just put some of the Al Prime Kanza 700C wheels from Wiggle/CRC. Paired them with some 30C Scwalbe G-One Speed and they have transformed the bike. I know you’re not looking for speed but I think either wheelset you’ll find that you go quicker than with the stock Axis Sports.
