Apologies if this has long since been covered: Opened up road.cc and it's all changed! It's all working well for me, except when I log in I seem to transform into username 'hawkinspeter' - or at least that's what it's showing in the top right corner! This is tom_w, in case this message gets posted as 'hawkinspeter'!

I still have problems on mobile.

Comments don’t load under any article – just get the spinning time wheel

The 3 line ‘hamburger’ top left corner is not responsive and doesn’r bring any menu up.

Tried on mobile and desktop view on Android 9, Chrome and Dolphin browsers

- you can save your comment ordering preference in your user account
- image uploads are back on comments
- latest comments at the bottom of all nodes
- some minor home page tweaks and bug fixes
- Push notifications because they’re the future apparently

New site doesn;t work pn my

New site doesn’t work on my Fire HD tablet. Most of the page content is missing or just shown by placeholder icons.

There’s no touch swipe for any of the carousels – videos, comments etc so I can’t get to content.

It’s pretty much unusable which is a shame as it was my preferred site to browse when on the loo.

Minor quibble, but the

Minor quibble, but the “Latest Comments” section only shows 3 and a bit comments (on my screen anyway) and the little dots to navigate are a terrible idea unless you want to ensure that only accurate mousers can use them.

I did get it on the left, but I just reduced the text size a bit (ctrl -ve) and it went away. Damn my awful eyes.

Ohh, and a little one, the quick click to take you to the comments when opening a page has gone. Which I did like. Bit more scrolling required.

But that’s exactly what you are getting with new posts appearing at the top but new replies to existing comments might appear top,mid,bottom or anywhere in between,depending on when the original was posted so you have to scan all the comments,which if it turns into a 3-4pager as some of them do will be a complete PITA,and none of the conversations will flow,you’ll be seeing someone not replying with a quote replying to something you’ve not read yet
