Life driving Ban

    Not cycling related but of interest that the sentence hear for attempted murder includes a lifetime driving ban which many of us have discussed in the past.

    Whatss the chances he gets it quietly lifted in 10 years or so.

    My heart goes out to the victim and his family.

    I don’t understand why there aren’t more lifetime driving bans given out.

    There’s plenty of people who can’t ever drive due to illness/neurological conditions (e.g. epilepsy, fainting etc), so it’s not as though people HAVE to drive.

    Wow, extraordinary. Scottish law is different to English/Welsh law but I wonder if this will send a message to judges/magistrates south of the border.
