Looking at doing more time trials next year but don’t really want to buy a TT bike… Anybody used BiblioVélo and if so, any good? Could be a much cheaper way plus get to try different bikes and brands.

    Cheers,

    Rob

    Yeah, good point… just read

Yeah, good point… just read the FAQs and apparently they have a partnership with Yellow Jersey for insurance which is pretty good. Insurance is the main thing I guess. They also make you submit your ID then cross reference with a selfie so you’d be playing a dangerous game to try and steal the bike as they’d have your details… I’ve used that sort of tech before and it’s pretty reliable.

As a renter it’s a great idea. As a supplier I’m not convinced. Bikes are just way too nickable and you run into the issue that you’re advertising the fact you’ve got a 10 grand Madone sat in your shed/garage. That’s what put me off using Spinlister a few years back. Given that we know scrotes are already trawling social media and Strava for bikes to nick to order this is going to run into the same issue.

Never heard of it, but it’s a decent idea.. sounds a bit like air b’n’b for bikes.
