Advice what BB to buy for PF30 frame.

    I have PF30 carbon frame and looking for BB compatibile with PF30 this type of BB frame. It has bolt in the middle of BB. Like on this picture below:

    Press fit only or is there any way to remove this bolt and press fit from one side and screw in with bottom bracket tool from the other side like in this video then drill a hole and put this bolt back:

    I’m not sure bolt is siled in the frame. Didn’t get the frame yet.

    Plenty of frames with screw threads. If you do get a frame with PF research which after market BB fit like Hope or Wheels manufacturing

    That’s a Rivnut, it works

    That’s a Rivnut, it works like a pop rivet but has an internal thread. It’s just there to hold the cable guides under the bottom bracket.

    You could presumable drill it out as you can with a pop rivet, but you will then have violated the warranty on your new frame… which probably isn’t a great idea.

    My advice would be to avoid press fit bottom brackets like the plague, but I know that’s become harder to do these days.
