    Cambridge News has spawned some real talent for producing utter shite to fill their pages over the years, but this imbecile trumps the lot.

    An article written by someone who basically declares their own incompetence and lack of basic driving skills, but you know what? All the problems are someone elses fault.

    I know it’s clickbait, and you shouldn’t poke fun at the retarded when you visit the asylum, but I do hope this gets opened up for comment. Else a stiff letter of complaint to the editor.

    I think all of the reach plc

    I think all of the reach plc “local news” websites are actually generated in a single headquarters. 

    They then pretend it’s “local” by trawling the local social media.

    At least, thats how the Bristol Post website seems to work.

    Every.  Single.  Story.  Ends with how they’ve approached one or more of the organisations or people mentioned in the article, and will update as and when they hear back.  They never actually do any – you know – ‘reporting’ (involving leaving their desk and fact-checking).

    They are also utter, utter clickbait – for example, the Bristol Post has a story today headlined about ‘what the Met Office says about the Spanish something-or-other weather system causing warm weather over the bank holiday’.  You click on it (sorry, I did…) and the second paragraph explains how the Met Office has said that the Spanish something-or-other weather system will not pass over the UK at the bank holiday and it’ll be pretty cold.  So, a clickbait story where the story content is the exact opposite of what you’rer being led to believe.  If its wasn’t intended as clickbait, it wouldn’t even be worth publishing as a story.
