Planet X RT 57

    Hi does anyone know if you can put 25c tyres on a planet x rt 57. The website says you can but the clearance doesn’t look very big at the rear of the frame between the brake calliper.

    Sorry mate, thanks for the advice, but its not the chain stays, any how I’ve gone with previose advice fro people that’s had this bike and they assure me it will indeed takes 25s Gp 4000 and all seasons, so will try my look. Cheers

    What I would say though, is

    What I would say though, is that if there are going to be clearance issues it’s more likely to be at the chain stays not the seat stays.

    Yes, I ran both GP4000 and 4 Seasons on mine no problem.

    I don’t know if this helps but I have a carbon RT 58 and it can take a 28mm tyre (Michelin pro 4). It’s close clearance but I have ridden a few thousand km with these tyres over some pretty sketchy road surfaces in the Surrey Hills and I have yet to experience anything getting jammed in the gap between frame/fork and tyre.
