Another great line up taking shape.
Movistar aren’t messing about with this one with Valverde, Quintana, Carapaz and Soler all lining up. I’m thinking they’re planning on doing well.
Also…A tick against Bora but only six riders listed…anybody got any ideas what that’s all about?

Some weird glitches in the admin side of things keep switching the deadlines by an hour. The stage starts in a few minutes and the deadline was still an hour away, so I’ve switched ot so the deadline is now in 15 minutes so as not to screw over anyone wating until the last minute.

I considered bringing in Bernal fro Gibbons but unfortunately decided to stick with the team I had.
Not too bad though, I had 1,2,3,7 + Degendt.
I nearly did Bevin instead but thought Schachmann as young rider would be a better option to keep for tomorrow.
Now comes the hard part who is going to try tomorrow? Young Knox has caught my eye, but I guess he’ll be riding for Mas, Quintana looks up for it, but will he play second fiddle to the green valleys? Froome is down loads of time so will he go up the road? will Chaves go with Froome and which twin will lead behind him? Bardet, Martin, Pinot, Woods, Kruzwijk, Kelderman, Zakarin…..OMG! what do I do?
…and just as important…..when to blink with TDG..
Getting lucky with my picks of late. Dither on Bernal and a cheaper pick in for Gibbons and Hodeg or just Hodeg > Schacmann and save a transfer. I’d like to claim some sort of divine knowledge but the truth is the wife was pushing me to go to the garden centre so I just did the quickest option…sheesh…

Minnaarrd is in the break.
They’ve just been over the finish…it looks really tough. Probably would have been wiser bringing in Bernal as well.
McCarthy down and maybe out for the day.

I assume they tried to get him back on did they?…or is he not quite right? It didn’t surprise me, I don’t think he is very good in hilly terrain and the team wouldn’t have been able to bring him back to the peloton. Bauhaus got dropped a bit later and his team left him behind.
Greipel got dropped a lot later but had all his team (except Barguil) bring him back on the descent.
Mmmm…yeah…as I said this morning I don’t know much about him other than he’s a good sprinter and keeps getting me points usually….but there’s sprints and there’s sprints…they’re not all the same.
Keep or ditch?

171 is Bevin, Owsian is 174
also Greipel is 231 not Moinard
Also…If Gibbons had a mechanical at 2.5km out should he not have been given the same time as the bulk of the finishers?

Hodeg got dropped mid-race.

Yeah Minardi, that results
Yeah Minardi, that results are super potato, PCS is re-updating, the official website doesn’t know what it’s on about, and who knows WHAT the points classiciation is supposed to be.
I’ll re-update when it makes sense.

Wasn’t sure if Paris/Nice was just a case of the opportunity presenting itself in the winds but today showed maybe not.He is also good at sneaking into the top10 in sprints.
I was considering dropping Degendt and bringing in Bernal for today’s stage for exactly those reasons.
Definitely….and just like Valverde he is defending from the front by being up front. He really is going to be a very special rider.
