Just wondering if anyone has ordered wheels from ZUUS since January 1st and if they’ve actually received them?

From what I can make out from my other half who opened the parcel (I’m not currently at home) it looked like it was labelled for someone else (see picture).Given the feedback I guess I’ll be taking them to a local master wheel builder before they get used in anger! Fortunately they are where primarily brought as a back up pair while my primary set gets fixed….
Looks like I know where mine are then. They are being delivered to my in-laws, hence the different name. Although I did get an email today saying they had been despatched, so hopefully they will arrive soon.

Hi guys horrible to here what has happens to you I was literally just about to buy some Zuus wheels but ended up going for a new British company called velocity wheels and I must say they are awesome and for £499.99 I thought it was worth the gamble as I had Hurd a lot of negative stuff about Zuus recently ! Their customer service was impeccable they were very friendly answered all my phone calls and replied to my emails in less than a day on most occasions!
The wheels them self are great look real stealth and ride great !
I have attached a link below to their website and a picture of the wheels.

Hopefully you all get your money back if you are still looking for a cheap pair of carbon wheels I can’t recommend them enough!!

im slightly worried I won’t get my money back.
but luckily I ordered thru PayPal so i have buyers protection. Fingers crossed.
i was looking forward to a new pair of wheels for the summer. By the time I get a refund it will be over and I’ll have no new shiny wheels to play haha
will keep you posted. But doesn’t look hopeful!
Hi,
Lets us know how you get on with PayPal, I also raised a dsipute with PayPal and they said this seller wasn’t covered by the Buyer Protection, didnt explain why.
I have escalated it with PayPal, as I ordered through PayPal credit pay over 4 months, I understood that credit purchases would be covered by the consumer credit act section 75, I’ve not heard anything back.
Let me know how you get on, I done the same

Zuus Sports Ltd traded as Zuus but then dissolved in Jan 2019.
The last cached page of Zuus was from 1st June and showed Carbon C Ltd trading as Zuus.
Carbon C Ltd are still trading and the director is the same as Zuus Sports Ltd.
I only ordered some rims for a self build at the beginning of May.
Bank statement shows that I paid Zuus Wheels, but invoice from Carbon C.
Should have suspected something was up when I spoke to Alison. Last time I spoke to her was on 24th May and she said to call in a week or so as they will know more.
Email request sent on Monday followed by several attempted phone calls-answerphone- and then again today with the line having been cut off!
I have spoken to my bank and the are beginning investigations.
I will keep you posted

Did you receive any notification that they were being sent or anything or did they just turn up?
I had a random FedEx notification of delivery on Saturday stating delivery today (Wednesday), then one yesterday stating Tuesday, but no notification from Zuus / Carbon C Ltd.

When was the site taken down?
When was the site taken down? I noticed the director of the company changed his status to “left self employment” on the 30.5.19 at 10:30am, seems an odd thing to post on Facebook! Anyway, fingers crossed we can all get our money back, I’ve been asking for a refund for weeks so I find this really disappointing

Sorry to read this. I had a poor experience with them in 2017 – bought a pair of 50mm rim-braked wheels, which were built so poorly that within 5 miles of my their first ride came so badly out of true that they rubbed into the carbon weave of my Foil – the frame was written off.
I was left to buy a replacement frame under Scott’s crash replacement policy at a cost of £750. I raised a dispute with PayPal, who returned me the entire cost of the Zuus wheelset, after they absolved themselves of any responsibility (for the frameset I can’t *really* argue that, it’s my responsibility there, but the wheels not so much).
Live and learn etc – I don’t buy anything online without using PayPal or a Credit Card now for buyer protection.
Funnily enough I had a trusted builder re-build the wheels completely, and they were absolutely solid after that!
