Zipp 302 or Alternatives

    Hi All,

    I am new to the forum so forgive me if a similar post has already been done. 

    I am looking for a pair of 50 rim depth carbon wheels , I have a budget of £1000 and have been told that Zipp 302 are probably my best option given my price point. Do  you use or have used the Zipp 302s, how do they fat against over wheels in the same price range? Also, feel free to offer alternatives.

    Because there is nothing wrong with the quality. They are unbranded and have standard hubs. Ive had a set for several years.

    Why risk it, next to the bars they’re most important contact point with regards safety, you’ve got virtually no comeback if in the next xx months they go to shit for some reason.

    Respected Taiwanese company, yes, Chinese ebay, not for me.

    And by the time you take import futy and VAT into account the monetary savings are not anywhere near what you’re saying but each to their own.

    I’ve been through a similar research process myself, some interesting new ideas above- 

    I like the JRAs, and the flexibility available to have differing rim depths F&R for example.

    Those Wheelsmith Zipp ‘tribute’ wheels look great for the money… dimpled too for added bling.

    Halo Carbauras are also worth considering. https://www.halowheels.com/carbaura/

    I’d go to a wheelbuilder as if anything goes wrong then the parts are easily replacable and their wheels perform as well, if not better then the big brands.
