    hi all,

a mate of mine bought an Allez Sprint that came with the R460s and has no use for them as he’s using his old wheelset. I’m thinking of buying them from him but have no idea what a fair price would be? any guidance will be helpful. The wheels are obviously brand new

    I bought some handbuilt

I bought some handbuilt wheels using the DTs and they were both out vertically, returned and the next lot were the same too. Shame as they were 28/24s and came with DT 370 hubs for £200!

The hop is a common problem apparently according to some wheelbuilders in this country so check them over thoroughly,

Dunno what the hubs are on those wheels but £100 doesn’t seem too far off the mark for what is a simple sale for him.

thanks both, I was actually thinking something around £100 like check12 said. for £150 to £200 I’d probably get Aksiums or Fulcrum Racing 5s. If that makes sense?

the R460 is a nice rim in

the R460 is a nice rim in terms of its design – light and wide, tubeless compatible but fairly shallow. The Specialized website doesnt specify which hubs or spokes are used other than sealed bearings which is fine.

My first stop would be eBay and see what similar ones go for – Ive only had a quick look there is a pair on there for £150 used, or a pair with disc hubs brand new for £199

Depends how good a friend he is, try somewhere in the region of £150 perhaps?
