Peaks on Pro Cyclists’ Helmets

    A lot of helmets come with peaks that seem to me to be very practical because they keep the sun out of your eyes and the rain of your face. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you never seem to see any of the pro peloton wearing them, does anyone know why this is?

    As above, peak obscures vision when I’m on the drops. It’s good for blocking sunshine/rain/branches on my mtb though.

    I just have the one helmet and unclip the peak for road duties.

    The peaks are primarily for mountain biking. I used to have a peak on my helmet but I couldnt see forward fully when on my drops. Also they look a bit funny unless you’re mountain biking.
