The ‘polite’ thing annoys me for some reason. Saw a bunch of BMW riding wankers ( don’t also forget pan european wankers)fully stickered up like coppers and with the polite jackets on the other day. Actually if I recall correctly they close passed to an even greater degree.  Reasons not covered by the research (pretty difficult to do I assume) but my guess would be punishment passing once the drivers realised their mistake.

There seems to be far greater awareness among car drivers anout how to behave when passing horses or livestock. Time and time again around here I’ll see a driver slow their car to walking pace, go the other side the road, and accelerate away slowly when encountering a horse, only for moments later to pull an insane close pass on a cyclist at 40mph+

So a couple of people coming off horses makes it onto the telly, now? Because ‘bike’? 

Perspective, bitches! 

Two people die on bikes per week.

Most of those involve collision with a vehicle.

Most of *those* are the fault of the vehicle operator.

So we’re into the ballpark of one-two people on bikes per week dying due to the fault of drivers. 

Fuck this ‘I fell off a horse’ noise while people are dying due to other people driving into them. Where’s the TV coverage about the various campaigns to call that out?
