    ChrisB200SX – chain and cassettes sounds like a good use-case if the coating is slippery. I wasn’t sure from the article whether the coating was generating its own lubricant or whether they were talking about a different coating.

    I think it will be a long,

    I think it will be a long, long time before we see such a coating on bicycle components.

    It simply comes down to cost, it’s not worth putting such a coating on bike components.

    For applications such as high-speed bearings in gas turbine engines, it’s a very good idea.

    Hmm, Pt-Au chain coating sounds good, maybe should be added to Dura-Ace cassettes too?
