So i had my bike serviced before i go to France for some cycling & watch some of the tour next week.. Tech comes back saying the braking surface on the rear of the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL-C wheel. So its basically ruined. I need a quick replacement before i go to france and am wondering whats the better wheel for the money
Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL-C Road Wheels 2017 for £792 from leisure lakes or Shimanos very own DuraAce C60 – for 700 in a 10% off sale. I hope i can get the wheel done under warranty, if not ill get a new rim fitted but for a tide me over is the mavic worth the extra 80 quid?
Or should i get the shimano and go shimano from now on? The shimano is an unknown quantity to me..
The thing is i know the Mavic supports my mass (100 kg) quite well so i’m a bit hmmm’ ahhh’ing about it all really !
Some input would be appreciated.
